What will they build at Ford?

Has anyone heard what they plan to put on the Lorain Ford site?
Can it possibly be another industrial park? They can't fill the ones they have, can they?

I think it would be a great place for an OUTLET MALL. That site seems like exactly the kind of place they put those outlet malls ... right off a highway but sort of in the middle of nowhere.
They seem to do pretty good business although I don't know if that would translate to revenue for the city.

Oh, would my sister agree with you, re: an outlet mall!

I heard the Mayor saying that lorain is on the rebound. Who would have thought losing Ford would be the catalyst for the revitalization of Lorain. Now if we can just get rid of the pesky steel mill we can get even more new business into Lorain.
In case you missed it I'm being sarcastic. the mayor is a moron. Lorain is the same old mess. Losing a giant company and replacing it with smaller companies is not growth. Does he really think we are that stupid?

I hope at least some revenue will be realized ....better than an empty vandalized structure...but I would also think that with tax abatements etc. it will be a while.

My understanding is that there will be a lot of "sold for scrap". I hope they keep the power plant operating. I am not sure if many were aware but during the big black out of a couple of summers ago.........the only power available ... to pump gas for the safety forces etc. was at the Ford Plant. They were a good neighbor and employer, we aren't going to have "their like again". Loraine Ritchey
